This isn’t just a restaurant...

It’s a legacy of grit, love, and some seriously badass fried chicken.

Kathy & John Friesen came from Morden, Manitoba with their young family looking for a place to call their own. They took ownership of the Somerset Food Bar & Lounge 45 years ago and never looked back.

Being the hub of the community - it kept them up all hours of the day & night, but they loved every minute of it. After  John passed, Kathy still ran it with all her heart until her son, Wes & his wife RoseAnne took over to blaze a path for them & their young family.  With the 4th generation running the halls, it's still built on hard work, good people & great food.

Here’s to family, friends & being LEGENDARY!
